Angelo Dundee – the legendary boxing trainer – died on February 1 aged 90. Even The Greatest need a great team in their corner. From the age of 18, Muhammad Ali had Dundee.

Dundee once reflect: “When you’re working with a fighter, you’re a surgeon, an engineer and a psychologist.” Dundee worked with 15 other world champions, which is an amazing statistic in itself. It certainly made for a lot ‘surgery’ and ‘engineering’.

Throughout years of political and social turmoil, Dundee fulfilled all these roles and more. His relationship with Ali never faltered, never wavered. “Through all those days of controversy, Angelo never got involved. He let me be exactly who I wanted to be and he was loyal. That is the reason I love Angelo.” More than even a man of great loyalty and dedication, Dundee was man of great character. Just some of the reasons why you should love him too.

Stones Throw are marketing geniuses. The Stones Throw Video Contest which launched back in April and ends today is proof of that.

Such is the nature of genius that it attracts, well, genius. Enter Samuel Craven with a final day entry that’s already got the attention of Mr Perkins himself.

Sam’s video for Flowers provides all the essential ingredients for a summer video: it’s beautiful, calming and uplifting and works in perfect harmony with the track. Sure I’m biased but it deserves your vote, or at least a play or two.

We may have got our a*ses kicked by Barcelona on the weekend, but I won’t let that get in the way of appreciating some good work.

Nike covered their bases with the Glory Is Ours poster / film campaign, in what for them can only be described as a win-win situation. The glory is theirs indeed.

The Insomniax Radio Show on Nasty FM is a weekly musical journey that covers everything from Grime to Soul, Indie to Electro and Dubstep to Hip Hop.

The Macaroni Cheese Mixtape has been a little labour of love, and we can’t wait for you to hear it. We’ve been working closely with The Insomniax to develop the brand and overall marketing strategy that will help introduce the world to The INX movement.

This mixtape is just a taste of their diverse sound, but what a tasty treat it is.

Eliza and her team of ambassadors – who we recently worked with on a Let’s Be Brief session – are real examples of young people with strong leadership skills and clear determination to take ownership of what happens in their communities.

Justin Bieber has obviously inspired a lot of young people to try to become successful recording artists, however he’s also filled parents and record label owners eyes with pound / dollar signs who are now pushing enthusiastic children down that path regardless of their talent.

We are recruiting for a Jnr Art Director to join us on a 6-month paid placement through the Future Jobs Fund.

What will I be doing?
As a Junior Art Director your main job is to have ideas, ideas and did I say, ideas. You will be spending most of your time researching, creating mood boards, brainstorming and producing creative concepts. Working independently and within the team, we are looking for applicants who possess the following qualities;

– Very good design skills (good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite)

‘We Are You’ is Boxfresh’s tag-line. Directed by Steve Glashier, Shadrack has brought 300,000 odd ‘you’s’ to their ‘we’, so excuse the language and get with the clever, nuanced humour.
