James Duncan Clark :: Elsewhere

Liberty from the London Arts Board kindly sent us Bench and Swing  the work of photographer James Duncan Clark. This in turn led us to Elsewhere; an exploration into the fringes of the urban environment, capturing the quietly tragic disregard we have for our natural surroundings. In other words James captured our local children’s playground*. The broken and abandoned municipal facilities, manufactured in a disposable manner for a disposable society represent the mark of Man as little more than that of a really bad tattoo. After completing a BA in Photography at Winchester School of Art and working in the digital advertising industry, James is now studying for an MA in Photography at the London College of Communication. We believe the photographer of Elsewhere is definitely going somewhere very interesting. :: Bench and Swing are on display at The London Arts Board from 14 September to 12 October.  Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Admission Free. *our local playground isn’t quite that bad.]]>
