In 2013 LBB launched the SOI Pop-Up Island at Boxpark Shoreditch, featuring an array of creative indie brands and an electric Q&A session with Theo Parrish on DIY culture.
Now we’re back for State of Independence Pt. 2, with the State of Independence Market at Hackney Downs Studios: a market providing a platform for some of the most dynamic emerging creative brands, with street food and DJ’s to boot.
This month on NTS Radio, we shine a spotlight on a group of indie British fashion brands that are really doing things a little bit differently:
We talk to Born: a street wear label who incredibly design and produced everything within one hundred miles of Born HQ. We also have No Licence: an exciting new vintage and deadstock label that sell super-collectable, one-off kicks and retro sportswear. Then we have the elder of the pack, Walsh – the UK’s only trainer company – founded in 1961 by former Olympic trainer-maker Norman Walsh.
