Famed for its once booming car industry, The Motor City’ of Detroit is also known for an array of quality musical exports. One said example is Marcellus Pittman.
Readers may be familiar with Marcellus’ part in the imitable Three Chairs, along with Detroit legends Theo Parrish, Moodymann and Rick Wilhite, yet Mr Pittman first appeared on our radar in 1999 with his release on Theo Parrish’s Essential Selections Vol.1. Releases on Omar S’s FXHE and his own Unirhythm records have since followed.
This Thursday, Marcellus Pittman will be joining CDR at Dance Tunnel for a rare insight into his production process, as well as a one-of-a-kind DJ set.
The night will run in two parts:
8pm–10pm: CDR Workshop
10pm–3am: Party time!* (Entry: £5 on the door)
*Please note on this occasion there is no Open CDR component.
Get a taste of the night with a mix by DJ Naise from the CDR team.
