Primarily known for his intricate characters, Illustrator Wilmer Murillo’s work has been steadily venturing into new territory: “I’ve been slowly moving into a more experimental development of my creativity, trying to blur the line between ‘art’ and ‘design’, using almost any media I can find to define my inner world.”
Inspired by an array of influences ranging from modernism, op art, psychedelic, dadaism to aboriginal art, Murillo’s latest work is a stripped back graphic interpretation of nature.
And with artistry extending into music – producing ethereal electronics sounds under the Lunar Bear moniker – Murillo’s successful interpolations represent the perfect illustration of creativity knowing no bounds.
